On this eve of the premiere of Dragula Titans, I give you my thoughts on Season 2. I’ve already sung my praises for the premise and message behind Dragula and the Boulet Brothers, so be sure to check out my review on Season 4 from earlier this year.

I have to say I enjoyed the format of the sophomore season much more than the most recent one. The trademark intros and outros were much more concise, which left more of the runtime to focus on the contestants and the performances. There definitely was a bigger focus on the drama this season, so if you’re into that element of reality tv, you’re in for a treat.

The diversity of this cast had much to be desired. In watching the seasons in reverse, I’m glad to see their efforts to include a wider range of talent and identities presented in the later seasons. The elimination challenges were SO MUCH more intense this season, from tattoos, to piercings, to eating pureed pigs feet.

I loved getting to see Dahli, one of my favorite performers from Season 4, in the early stages of their career in this season. It makes their comeback story in Season 4 that much more poignant. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for some of these queens on Titans!
